The AZ Prowlers rallied in the top of the sixth inning Sunday to defeat Hoyas BB 4-3 in the 14U AAA championship of the USSSA Fall Classic III baseball tournament at Victory Lane.

The Prowlers took a two-run lead early when Dylan Muller brought in two runs with a single down the line in right.

The Hoyas responded in the third. Two strikeouts by Antonio Coronado set down the Prowlers, and back-to-back squeeze bunts from Jesus Calles and Oliver Henninger tied te game. An RBI single from Giavanni Lopez gave the Hoyas a 3-2 lead.

The Prowlers rallied in the top of the sixth. Dylan Muller hit a grounder past a diving Anthony Gallegos to tie the game at 3. Spiro Valaskos brought in the winning run on a hard-hit line-drive RBI single.

Tyler Wyatt took over on the mound for the Prowlers in the bottom of the inning, striking out two and forcing a high fly ball to left for the third out.

The Hoyas put themselves in scoring position in the bottom of the seventh with runners on second and first, but Prowlers second baseman Tyler VanderHam caught a line drive and tagged a baserunner for a double play to help squash any hope for a Hoya comeback.
