Arcadia improved to 2-0 on the baseball season Thursday with an 11-1 pummeling of the host Glendale Cardinals behind a stellar two-hitter by pitcher Colton Sanchez and a grand slam by Brendan Satran.

After allowing one run on two hits in the top of the first inning, Sanchez did not allow another Cardinal hit for the rest of the game. The junior righty struck out 10 in six innings.

With Arcadia already leading 5-1 in the top of the sixth, Satran put any thoughts of a Cardinal comeback to rest when he deposited a grand slam over the left-field fence. The Titans added one more run in the inning on an RBI single by Max Schuman that plated Jake MacWilliam.

Satran also collected a double and an RBI single earlier in the game.

The Titans pushed across four runs in the fifth to break a 1-1. MacWilliam came through with the big hit in the inning when his he connected on what appeared to be a home run off the light pole in left field. After the umpires ruled the ball in-play off of the top of the wall, MacWilliam still circled the bases for an inside-the-park homer that also scored Andrew Naderer.

Satran and Naderer started the inning with one RBI single apiece.

The Titans first put a run on the board in the fourth inning when MacWilliam walked and scored on a triple by Schuman.
