The Xavier and Brophy swim teams dominated again Thursday, beating Gilbert High School in the Broncos’ and Gators’ first home meet of the season.

Xavier won 146-40 and took first in every event. Top swimmers included sophomores Talie Anchustegui and Alicia Bender, junior Elaine Casap and senior Haley Krakoski.

Brophy won 127-59, winning every event but the 50-yard freestyle. Kia Schultz of Gilbert was neck-and-neck with Brophy’s Jeremy Becker and pulled ahead at the end.

Top swimmers for the Broncos included seniors John Wojciechowski and Danny Hatfield, junior Jeremy Becker and sophomore Louis Wojciechowski.
