Absolute overcame a 12-4 deficit Sunday in the second game to take first place in the women’s AA/A division in the second tournament of Arizona Region USA Volleyball season.

Absolute beat Team Raw 25-23, 25-19 in the championship match at Atkinson Pavilion in Phoenix.

“They’re our rivals,’’ Absolute player/coach Beth Nuneviller said. “They beat us last tournament. So we got some revenge today.”

Sandy Martin finished off the match with a kill. Sarah Teslevich and Shannon Nelson made several kills each down the stretch.
