Arcadia's girls soccer team lost Monday night at home in penalty kicks after a scoreless game against Flagstaff went into double overtime.
“You have got to give it to Flagstaff, traveling down to play on our senior night,” Arcadia head coach Daniel Polan said. “But at the end of the day we didn’t finish our chances.”
Arcadia missed their first two penalty kicks to end the game, while Flagstaff put their first two away for the win.
Arcadia played Dysart High School last week, winning 5-0. The only other loss for the Titans, who close the season Wednesday night against Williams Field High School, was 2-1 to Seton. Among their 13 wins was a road victory in overtime against defending state champion Notre Dame Prep. |
