Arcadia’s softball team collected a win, a tie and a loss Friday in tournament play at Independence High School in Glendale.

Arcadia tied its first game against Independence 9-9. The Titans lost to Thunderbird 7-3. In the final game of the afternoon, the Titans rallied to beat Youngkers 9-3.

Jess Whitis 4-for-4 with three RBI and a home run against Youngkers. She had a first-inning double that got the Titans started, and her home run came in the third inning with a teammate aboard.

“We’ve got a lot of work we want to see,” Arcadia coach Jason Foster said. “It was a good learning process.”
